Her Prophet Rants

"'New Age thinking' tends to be lazy wishful thinking.

Basic Human Nature is to fear Change [it seems like Loss] and to Hate The Other [racism, prejudice]. Without a truly dynamic Central Organizing Principle, the vast majority of humans will simply keep their heads down and struggle to survive day to day. "Embracing The Light' is a vague platitude that is ultimately depressingly useless.

I have found that nearly all New Age sayings are vague platitudes that are ultimately depressingly useless.

Part of the downside of being a 'professional' Guru is to realize how easy it is to pull them out of one's ass on a moment's notice and watch people nod and smile at the faux profundity. And honestly, my first impulse was to say 'rubes' instead of 'people'.

The only so-called New Age saying that has lasted for me is from Jiddu Krishnamurti; "It is no measure of good health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society." I have burned that one into my Heart and Mind.

In my travels I have seen that most New Agers strive mightily to do just that, "become well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society," all under the guise of Love and Acceptance. That allows them to basically do nothing but take care of their own personal needs and 'let go' when it comes to greater world. That way they can pretend to be Enlightened without any real heavy lifting.

And I'm a mother fucker Guru about that, in that I tar the Holyman on The Mountain, the Yuppies in their condos and the Hipsters in their coffee houses with that same brush of Enlightened Indifference."

Today is 29th Ternia, 13AS...a Bastday

"Bastday is The Fourth Day. Bast is the ancient Egyptian Goddess of Cats and those creatures are much beloved by The Sisterhood. She is chosen because cats are very fastidious thereby symbolizing 'the finishing up of business' and also notoriously nocturnal and therefore will guide Sisters as they play with Substances and Sex though the night."

"On the Weekend, the Fourth Day is half and half; morning and early afternoon for finishing up the Work Week and the late afternoon and evening for playing and partying."
