nebrisWhat Trump did for the GOP was show them that it does not matter how insane the shit you're spouting actually is. As long as it applies to the 'mindset' of the majority of the base, they'll run with it.
I suspect the Establishment Republicans have been surprised to truly discover that their base is even more angry and deranged than they had already believed. Trump has shown them how easy the con can be and now they're running with it, vis Larry Elder for example. He set up his Voter Fraud website even before the first votes were counted.
It is known that Trump set up Stop The Steal back in 2015. Just didn't need it for another four years. Last I checked, he'd taken in about $126 million.
