~I was eleven years old when I first saw Her Image in this form. It is from Manly P. Hall's The Secret Teachings Of All Ages. El Padrasto's business partner had acquired a copy, which he left in his office. As we – Mumsie, EP, Moi – lived in an apartment in that brownstone which also contained studios, labs, offices and workshops, what I called The Ice Palace, I had full access to everything.

When I looked through that book I was entranced. I would go back up to the fifth floor and read it over and over again. When I could tell he'd lost interest in it – the book drifted to a shelf and gathered dust – I stole it for myself.

I held on to it for about twenty years, right there in that building no less. In the end, his eldest daughter's French junkie boyfriend stole it, to buy drugs I suppose. I can only hope it found a good home.

I have another copy now, one we bought on-line a few years back. It's not the large gorgeous color reproduction of the original I first possessed, but all the images and text is there and it is the Knowledge within that counts...and one day The Temple will have several of those original reproductions in its library.

"Taraday is The Third Day. Tara is both a Hindu Goddess and Buddhist Saint. The Hindu Tara is an Aspect of Kali. The Buddhist Tara reincarnates only as a woman. She is chosen because She symbolizes 'the End that is not the End'."
