"Taraday is The Third Day. Tara is both a Hindu Goddess and Buddhist Saint. The Hindu Tara is an Aspect of Kali. The Buddhist Tara reincarnates only as a woman. She is chosen because She symbolizes 'the End that is not the End'."

~Part of me wanted to say “Resigns!” but that stems from frustration, hostility and blame and, as an Honest-To-Goddess Guru, I am required to take full responsibility for MY failings. I'd truly be a worse failure if I shouted, “Fuck you!” and stomped away. Besides, my Spirit Guide would give me a rack of shit about that.

No, I am wholly responsible for all of this.

I still fully believe in this Work. It is simply that I am not able, by my own words and deeds, to convince any of you, my Sisters, of its value to such a degree that you would come and join in this process. And really, there cannot be a 'Sisterhood' without any Sisters. But that is MY failure, not yours.

So, what 'retirement' looks like is letting The Explanation sit unfinished as it. It is withdrawing into fiction writing full time. And it is attending to the needs of my own household to the exclusion of 'larger concerns'.

I confess to being generally calmer now. The Guru Racket is not an easy gig. But I am fully focused on teaching myself how to write a novel. Not the technique; that I already know. What I am doing is 'installing the format' psycho-emotionally. And I'm actually having fun doing so.

Of course, if some of my Sisters pick up this Work, I'd be more than happy to advise them and take a shot at finishing The Explanation. But to continue with it solely on my own is self abuse and I'm too old for that anymore.

And there you have it...
