(indicating Album)
I didn't realize how much work you've done
on this.
She flips through the pages revealing NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS, PHOTOS, LETTERS, DOCUMENTS, etc. all about 'Soviet Military Women': TANK CREWS, PARTISAN SNIPERS, MARINE ASSAULT TROOPS BOMBER PILOTS, etc.
Natalya
Vera helped. And you. It's been a way to
honor Marina Nicolaivna. I kept thinking
of Barkagan's toast the night before she
died.
Lilya
To Mother Russia and all Her ferocious
daughters?
Natalya
Yes. All of this needs to be remembered.
For our daughters, for the daughters of
those we will never know.
They turn to a NEWSPAPER PHOTO of LILYA and KATYA in front of a YAK. The CAPTION: "HERO PILOTS LITVYAK AND FEDOTOVA".
Lilya
(soft)
For all of our sisters.
Baranov enters energetically.
Baranov
Flight Control is putting out a general
call. Part of the line is in danger of
collapsing and the counter attack needs
more air support. Lilya Atomova, the Two
Ninety Sixth is refueled and rearmed, so
we'll go immediately.
Lilya
Yes, Nicolai Sergeiavich.
Baranov
Natalya Andreivna, have the Five Eighty
Sixth armed with rockets and follow as

Natalya
Vera helped. And you. It's been a way to
