Klone Konfusion

nebris~Most of y'all are badly misinformed about the nature of Cloning. I blame Hollywood. They always show clones being 'made' in big Plexiglas tubes and coming out as full grown adults with all the thoughts and memories of the 'original'.
Sorry, kids, that's just not how it works.
Let's say I got Cloned this weekend. Such would not produce another Me. It would produce a zygote with my exact DNA. Then that lil thing would have to be carried to term in the womb of a live human female as we do not yet have Uterine Replicators. That women would not be my mother and her body chemistry and her experience while pregnant would have a set of effects upon the fetus that would be quite different than those I experienced in the womb.
The child would then be born in the beginning of December, 2015 in Southern California, not the end of August, 1952 in London England.
Already, we have a totally different person at the moment of birth. Then said child gets to grow up in the early 21st Century, not the mid 20th Century, along with an entirely different set of parents and life experiences. The only memories of mine they'd have would be those I shared with them.
Let's say I got Cloned ten or twenty times this weekend. Each of those would undergo their own separate version of the above process. Sure, they'd have overlap in certain genetic predispositions – ones that they'd share with me – but each of those clones would be their own individual person. And some of them would be female, as well.
One day it might be possible to create the Hollywood type clone. It would require forced growth Uterine Replicators and mind up-loading technology. The former is certainly feasible, though the latter may not be.
However, we're not close to either yet, so no 'carbon copies' of yourself.
