~So, as expected, The Electoral Collage confirmed The Donald as President Elect, which was an easy call, for all the sturm und drang. 'Gullible' is the kindest word I can think of for those of you who believe they would do otherwise.

I have been reposting the following meme once again: “No argument from me that The Trump White House is going to be a Chaotic Clownshow Clusterfuck. What I keep beating the drum for is reforming the Democratic Party so it can take on the wreckage the GOP in 2018. Because the GOP is going to be in flames by then.

The current Democratic leadership is vile and corrupt. If you people really want to create change, contact U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders office and ask how you can help: http://www.sanders.senate.gov/contact

It's not that I believe any of that will save The Republic. The Republic is fucking dead. But I do hope that such can stave off Total Collapse until 'other solutions' manifest. Note that we are already IN Collapse, but that is process, not an event, and there are possibilities for managing it, though at this point it is not stoppable and we can only 'go through it'.

I have also been reposting this meme once again: TO DEFEAT THE CORPORATE CONFEDERACY TAKES PATIENCE AND GUILE

“Do not expect to defeat The Corporate Confederacy at the ballot box. Big Money can power its way through almost any election cycle. That is not however a call for Revolution. Big Money can power its way through those as well and rather unpleasantly.

Instead it must always be remembered that by its conscienceless and rapacious nature, the thing sows the seeds of its own destruction. Therefore what is required is both the ability to survive its collapse and to have another functional structure extent to replace it. Anything else is empty rhetoric.”

Those who know me are aware of what 'other functional structure' is that I am working on: The Sisterhood. My next several years are about Guiding and Mentoring our First High Priestess into her role as Leader of The Sisterhood. She has great promise, but is very young [though also very old] and her task is daunting.

The greatest obstacle I see is that most want to hold onto what they have, even though it is fairly obvious that our present social and economic structure is dissolving under our feet. Far too many are in total denial about that and such is how knuckleheads like Donald Trump come to power.

With his cabinet of kleptocrats, militarists and outright idiots, he is only going to accelerate the process of Collapse. Hillary would have maintained the steady slide downward and Bernie would have slowed it. But none of them could stop because they are ultimately all working within the system that is itself fatally damaged.

Yes, this is all very bitter and cynical and here is where I get to sneering part. Most Western humans [Middle Class Europeans and Americans] that I've met live in a fucking fantasy land. They think that the prosperous post WW2 World is 'the way things are supposed to be', when in fact that world is a political and social anomaly.

Well, kids, that fantasy is ending. Now we are getting back to 'the way things have been' for most of history, The Rich on Top and The Poor on The Bottom, and not much in between. Guess where most of you are going to end up?

And so it fucking is....

"We had a chance to put a good honest decent man in the White House, though I suppose we really never did have that chance. Be that as it may, that good honest decent man was ridiculed and brutalized and shoved aside...and now we're given the choice between The Corporate Fascist and The Overt Fascist and told 'you MUST vote for the The Corporate Fascist because “rights!!”'

Well, fuck you. Fuck all you craven mother fuckers. I'd call you sheep, but sheep are cute and your crawling moaning fear is ugly. The truth is, The Republic deserves Donald Trump for our sins, which are Legion. And I strongly suspect we're going to get him..."

Here's the Good News/Bad News regarding the 2016 Presidential Election. A Clinton II White House and a Trump White House will each suck badly, just in their own special ways. But neither one will be the fucking Apocalypse, so chill the fuck out with that noise.

That said, I'm inclined toward a Trump White House – which would almost certainly be a chaotic nightmare, as opposed to Hillary's battened down Corporatist horror show – because if he defeats Hillary, that will likely destroy the Clintonista wing of the DNC. And will almost certainly wreck the GOP in the following four years...if he doesn't say fuck it and walk away beforehand, that is. [Trust me, The Donald is perfectly capable of that]

And then maybe, just maybe, Bernie et al, could salvage something out of all that wreckage. That's the Good News.

The Bad News is that either White House will not make a great difference in the overall state of things. We are in Collapse, which is not tattooed barbarians roaming the highway, but the general break down of the Social Contract, the one where The Rulers agree to allow the rest of us to have decent lives while we allow them to be Rich and Powerful.

Extreme Climate Change, endemic economic inequality, and the final brutal stages of Capitalism are all in the pipeline and we seem incapable as a species to stop them....so we therefore get to ride them out.

Even Bernie has said – many many times over – no single President can turn that around. And I suspect we're going to see far tougher times ahead before we as a race come out the other end. And I seriously doubt the American Republic will come out of that other end with us.....

...so enjoy what you have now. What you do come November probably won't make that much of a difference in the long run.

~Back some time in 2012 Vince Lamb said he hoped 2013 would be ''a better year'. I told him, 'no, it would be worse...and so would every year after it for the foreseeable future'. And looking out at the mid-point of 2016, I can see I was right. But once one knows the patterns, one can generally predict the future.

"I'm sick to my stomach. All the polls showed them in a dead heat in California, but all of a sudden she's got a twenty plus point lead...and for some reason they've never explained, the various news organizations are not doing any exit polling at all in the state, so we have zero 'on the ground' numbers to check this against.

This is why I hate getting excited by any candidate. Either they turn out to be a piece of shit or, if they're the real goods like Bernie, the systems grinds them down...."

The delusion that most Americans share is that The Republic can be saved. I'm a fat old man and I support Bernie because he could make the last few decades of my life moderately comfortable, whereas the other two will make it a living hell. But beyond that, The Republic is doomed. What shall follow I cannot say.

It is doomed due to a confluence of social, economic and technological factors that are more or less irreversible. Many of our citizens are 'surplus' to economic requirements and more are becoming so every day. That trend is not going to be changed and it *will* lead to social collapse. Catastrophic Climate Change is already upon us. We'll survive it as a species [we're like fucking cockroaches] but it will be 'a very rough transition' and Capitalism will be crushed in that as it will be rightly seen as the primary cause of that catastrophe.

Truth is, The Republic has been effectively dead for a while now. We're an Empire and have been since the end of WW2. The Republic began to die with the passage of the National Security Act in 1947. The Republic's Obituary was written two years ago:

"The US is dominated by a rich and powerful elite.

So concludes a recent study by Princeton University Prof Martin Gilens and Northwestern University Prof Benjamin I Page.

This is not news, you say.

Perhaps, but the two professors have conducted exhaustive research to try to present data-driven support for this conclusion. Here's how they explain it:

Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organised groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on US government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence.

In English: the wealthy few move policy, while the average American has little power." http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-27074746

In essence most Americans are now debating over the division of table scraps.

~I find myself in a truly bizarre place this election season in that I am rooting for a Presidential candidate from each party, namely both Bernie and The Donald, when I usually have zero use for any of them. Certainly when the time comes, Bernie gets my actual vote. But I pull for The Donald too because, even if I think he's really just trolling, he IS trolling The Establishment.

And I really really really want to see them debate each other. Those debates I'll watch! I'm sure when they disagree it will an extreme disagreement, but I'll bet you they'll agree on a lot of things that would highly discomfort The Rulers, such as how thoroughly rigged the system actually is and how 'the little guy' can't catch a break.

It's obvious why I support Sanders. To quote myself, “I'm a fat old man on Disability. I support Sanders out of selfishness, as he seems the only candidate who'll work to make my last few decades of life bearable.”

But even though much of what Trump says is appalling, ALL of that stuff is exactly what the GOP Establishment has been saying since the summer of 1968, only he's removed all the filters and shouts it from the rooftop. He has totally stolen their narrative and there's nothing they can do to stop him....except cheat. Of course, if they do that, the base will come after them and not rhetorically either. We'd see the actually shedding of blood at the GOP convention, 'watering the Tree of Liberty' as it were, which many of us would find most entertaining.

So there you are, kids.. #FeelTheBern and #Trump2016!

"So here comes the lecture….

[posted in my local FB group, which is Very Republican]

The Dems and the GOP are both ‘owned’ by Corporate Money. Corporate interests nearly always get their legislative needs met, while We The People get shined on.

Each party 'makes the proper noises’ to its respective bases, but their campaigns, and the jobs they get when they either lose or retire from office, are wholly dependent upon Corporate largess. One does not bite the hand that feeds.

So for example, the Dems will 'fight for gun control’ and the GOP will 'fight for expelling the illegals’, but note that almost nothing has happened with either. That is because those are issues that help divide the Electorate and therefore keep each party in power because we’re too busy fighting each other over 'table scrapes’ while The Corporations eat their full.

That was okay when the economy was in decent shape, but for most Americans, the Crash of '09 has never really ended. The average American is still struggling to get by, while The Rich have apx $36 Trillion Dollars stashed in offshore account.

So the core base of each party has rebelled.

For the GOP, this has produced Donald Trump. For the Dems, Bernie Sanders. Whatever one thinks of their respective platforms and ideologies, it is very apparent that each party establishment hates them and has done its best to derail their campaigns. That is because they each truly represent the Will of Their Party Base and that is not what The Corporations want.

Trump is pretty much a lock at this point. And Sanders is closing in on an increasingly hapless Hillary. If the GOP does a 'political maneuver’ and steals the nomination from Trump, expect bloodshed. If the Dems squeeze Sanders out, they can expect defeat at the polls, which if we’re lucky would mean a President Rubio and if we’re not, a President Cruz.

…and I’ll just leave it at that."

"While I agree that The Rulers will engage in every single one of the cynical manipulations you have listed, I would warn them that they should should be careful what they wish for.

Out here, on both sides of the political divide, we're all very fucking angry. Even Leftists are buying guns. You can 'thank Obama' for that via his near total neo-liberal betrayal of his 'progressive' campaign rhetoric.

If The Rulers derail Trump and/or Sanders, things are going to get very unpleasant for them. Not saying Revolution per se, but certainly a lot more political violence aimed directly at the One Percent and their servants.

I suspect The Rulers forget that FDR did in fact save their bacon by defusing what could have been a serious collectivist Revolution of some sort back in the mid 1930's. That forgetting is going kill and maim some of them...and I shall not shed a single fucking tear."

This is a quote of mine from Oct 1st, 2012: "The candidates the GOP fielded this year were the worst in living memory, a collection of morons, lunatics and sociopaths. The only decent intelligent human being in the lot, Jon Huntsman, was never able to get out of the single digits. Nixon and Reagan would have been appalled...and, based upon their respective policy platforms, would likely not be able to gain any traction in the roiling madhouse the GOP has become."

Today: The set of GOP candidates amazingly enough is even worse than three years ago. They don't even have a Huntsman.

Several thousand people committed suicide in the aftermath of the 2008 Financial Meltdown, which was the result of The Rich 'gaming the system'. They walked away with a Bailout, tens of thousands of Americans lost their homes.

200,000 American children are homeless even as I type these words. And The Rich are fine with that. *Their* children are safe and well fed.

22 American Vets kill themselves Every Single Day, burnt out from fight wars that line the pockets of The Rich. And that is not even getting into the 1.5 million men, women and children killed in those war since 9/11.

Your 'delicate feelings' are exactly why The Left in this country fails and fails and fails. You cannot even face the concept of fighting back against the people that are killing you and will likely kill your family as well.'

"The final stages of capitalism, Marx wrote, would be marked by developments that are intimately familiar to most of us. Unable to expand and generate profits at past levels, the capitalist system would begin to consume the structures that sustained it. It would prey upon, in the name of austerity, the working class and the poor, driving them ever deeper into debt and poverty and diminishing the capacity of the state to serve the needs of ordinary citizens. It would, as it has, increasingly relocate jobs, including both manufacturing and professional positions, to countries with cheap pools of laborers. Industries would mechanize their workplaces. This would trigger an economic assault on not only the working class but the middle class—the bulwark of a capitalist system—that would be disguised by the imposition of massive personal debt as incomes declined or remained stagnant. Politics would in the late stages of capitalism become subordinate to economics, leading to political parties hollowed out of any real political content and abjectly subservient to the dictates and money of global capitalism."

White=Overlords
Black=Property
Brown/Red/Yellow=Conquered and/or Subject Peoples

But now Economic Inequality is causing that paradigm to strain to its breaking point as more and more Whites begin to realize that The Rulers regard them as Niggers, too."

"The single most important thing we [the GOP] want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president." ~Sen Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in Oct 2010

And last year the GOP failed miserably at that task, while also losing ground in both Houses of Congress. That then is the foundation stone of the present crisis, to punish Obama, hopefully even destroy his presidency. The GOP trumpets this at its base, though it tries to pretend otherwise to the press and the larger electorate.

But the base makes no effort to hide this desired outcome. One can go to any political thread on the Internet and clearly see the burning pathological hatred of Obama. And the forty or fifty hard core TP/GOP Representatives, with hard core Tea Party gerrymandered districts, are the spearhead of this attack. They have beaten the rest of the party into submission and terrorize them with 'getting primaried' if they deviate in the slightest.

There is all this screaming and yelling from that quarter about how Obama et al 'won't negotiate'. I submit that one cannot negotiate with a group whose goal is to destroy you and all your works. In that paradigm, there is only Victory or Defeat.

As the principle goal of this group is clearly not among the goals of anyone besides themselves and their minority base - not the majority of Americans, nor at this point even of the Monied Interests - it is only a matter of time before they are driven back and destroyed. How much damage they do before that depends upon how long it takes to drive them out of their present position.

Note: I am not a Liberal. I am not a Democrat. I have never voted for Obama. I believe him to be a Center/Right Corporatist and to have continued easily two thirds of Bush II's policies.

~Default is a little more than a week away...

...so, it's Hurry Up and Wait around here. Last March, Blanca, the park manager, told me that she was sure there were at least twenty other residents here who depended upon Social Security, etc. to pay their rent. I have no doubt that plenty of the storage spaces where we rent ours are the same. And Rosamond has lots of retired folks, especially vets, so Default would ripple through this town like an aftershock. Rents and mortgages unpaid, food un-purchased, services unused. *sigh*

In Kitteh Nooz...the Big Stupid Foot is bleeding a bit today. That's what happened the last time we treated it. I freaked and dragged him to the vet. That's not on the menu for the foreseeable future and they'd simply tell us what we already know. Therefore, we'll just keeping treating it. Going to add the coconut oil back into the mix, too. Hopefully, that should add some relief. If it gets bad, we'll go to gauze and Ace bandages.

I'm thinking that the vet's original treatment was meant to break the tumor up. Maybe what we're doing will bring that about. *shrug* At least we're taking some positive action.

..and that's about that.

PS WinCo in the am...then we hunker down.

~I have a few predictions in this matter...

First, Orange John finally gives in and allows a Floor Vote...at which point the twenty five plus GOP Reps who have already committed to such join the Dems and pass a 'clean' CR. Then all Hell breaks loose and the GOP civil war becomes a full-on blood letting.

Second, Orange John holds the line and Default looms...at which point The White House invokes the Fourteenth Amendment “The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law...shall not be questioned,” and unilaterally raises the Debt Ceiling by Executive Order. Then all Hell breaks loose and the GOP goes for Impeachment, a futile gesture even if they get the proceeding because they'll lose in The Senate no matter what.

I honestly cannot conceive of the US going over this cliff. The Monied Interests are already putting on massive pressure – Lloyd Blankfein grimacing in front of The White House – and even without that the Near and Long Term Consequences are DIRE 'across the board'. Really, you know Shit Is Hectic when Yours Truly is on the same page as Lloyd Blankfein, Grover Norquist, Charles Krauthammer and Peter King.

But we shall see.

One thing is for certain, the Suicide Caucus [Krauthammer's phrase] is in for a very rough ride next year. Gerrymandered or not, Big Money is going to out for their blood. You can piss on The Little People all the doo-dah-day, but fuck with Big Money like this and you're in for an ass raping..,

~I was planning to take Icarus to the vet on Sunday and use our portion of the fund for the x-rays. But now there is a distinct possibility that we may not get any of our various monies next month because of the Shutdown, that includes VA Disability, too

Because of that I have to put everything vet related on hold, at least until we know what is going to happen. We may need that money just to survive. *sigh*

Icarus is more or less okay. His coat is good and so is his weight. He's been sleeping more, but he's uncomfortable and sleep is a good escape. He's playful when he comes in to be with me and still bug hunts. We clean his foot every two or three days. We'd do it everyday, but the cleaning makes it tender.

This whole thing is exhausting and aggravating. My neck and shoulders are like rocks and my lower back is still sore from last week's clusterfuck. I'm sleeping more, too.

Even through all this grief and aggro, I've been working on my novel, my own one, not the fan-fic. As I said, if it's gonna be 'work', might as well suffer for my own.

I suspect the GOP leadership will overrule the Teatard Shitweasels in the crunch. There is far too much money at stake and I'm certain The Rulers are putting on the pressure now that they are in danger of taking the hit, the fucking cunts.

But our margin here is way too narrow to do anything but hunker down and see what comes to pass. Needless to say, I am utterly fucking enraged and have been abusing Shitweasels all over the intratubes. If I could, I'd happily gut most of them with a carpet knife and let them bleed out...

~The Affordable Care Act [the so-called 'Obamacare'] is the perfect example of how The Corporate State plays the Right and Left off against each other for its own benefit while getting each to help it screw the other.

Throughout the entire election cycle Obama faithfully, endlessly, relentlessly promised that there would be a Public Option in his health care plan. Of course all the research showed that a Public Option would devastate the Insurance Industry's business model because a govt run medical plan is cheaper as it needs no profit margin.

Meanwhile The Tea Party movement was underway as a reaction to bailing out the banks and 'shiftless' mortgage holders. [note only the banks got bailed out] Within weeks of this GOP operatives started Freedom Works and The Tea Party Express – with Corporate funding - and almost immediately began shifting the Tea Party's focus toward Obama's health care reform.

By the time the Obama Administration took office, The Tea Party was almost exclusively [and negatively] 'Obamacare' focused. He used that astroturfed political pressure to bail on The Public Option within a month of taking office.

What then resulted was the govt turning over thirty million Americans into economic hostages to the Insurance Industry. Obama's supporters were so busy arguing with The Tea Party's nonsense claims of 'socialism' that they did not see that they had been sold down the river. And the Right was so convinced of those ridiculous claims that they didn't see what was really going on either.

The only 'socialism' going on here is Corporate. And you've all been played because you let your fears run you and you didn't do your homework. This is also a perfect example of why Mass Democracy has failed. Most of you idiots, Left and Right, do not deserve the Franchise. And now another plague is upon both your houses...
