The Arabs were packed in to UN financed "refugee camps" and kept there by the Arab governments as a club to beat the Israelis with. They were not given the right to return to the lands of their parents, (e.g. Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt or the Maghreb from whence many originated as "migrants" in the terms of today) or settle in the properties vacated by the same Jews.
