"Bredsday is The Fifth Day. Bride is both an ancient Celtic Goddess and a Catholic Saint. She is a Triple Goddess and a Keeper of The Eternal Flame. Poetry is sacred to Her. Saint Brigid’s Day falls on Imbolc, also a 'fire festival'. She is chosen so that we may 'meditate upon The Light, upon The Flame'. She is also connected to Her Celtic Sister Goddess Epona, who comes the next day and Bride's Light can serve as Epona's guide."

"The Fifth Day is not a religious holiday per se, but rather meant to be a day of relaxation and reflection."

Addendum D [Calendar for A New Matriarchy]

Today marks the completion of a full year of The Matriarchal Calender. And of course, this shall continue on for as long as this journal is maintained.

"Mother Earth is not dying. She is shifting around violently because we're fucking with Her. And that will only hurt us. If we all vanished today, Mom would be fine within 10,000 years or so, which is a blink of an eye for Her.

That we think we could kill Her is part of human arrogance. The shit we're doing is threatening us, not Her. But even so many of the 'ecologically minded' don't seem to get that. They act as though this is just another version of 'children are starving in Africa'.

Of course The Corporate State has distorted the whole thing into a 'consumer choice' issue, that if we recycle and use energy efficient light bulbs, it can all be turned around. That's patent bullshit. The entire economy, which means the entire social order, needs to be restructured from the bottom up. But no-one wants to deal with that. Hell, no-one even wants to think about that.

So we rush into Collapse. I say 'into' because it has already begun. Been going on for a number of years now. Katrina was a sign post. It takes a long time for a civilization this complex to unravel."
