Random/Life in The Desert Mash-Up

~This new Internet connection is faster, but twitchier. It bounces me off every couple/three days and even though the modem shows green all the way, it just won't hook me up. Le-Le will have to fitzle with it and she's still sleeping.
The funny thing is my Yahoo toolbar seems to get the present temp and shows how many e-mails I have. The latter number changes which is how I know the former info.
It is 71° right now, the coolest it's been all week. Never got above 95° yesterday, so I guess the heat wave has broken. It was overcast all day yesterday as well, with scattered showers. But it seems the sky is clear today, so we might see the low 100's again. Feh.
JR came by and we're on for today, mostly just unpacking and clearing an 'operational space' in the living room. And of course hooking up the washer and drier. The Gas Man is supposed to return on Tuesday and then we can once again have to joy of doing laundry, cooking on a stove and taking hot showers. Yay!
Le-Le told me that since the kitchen is my bailiwick, I get to decide how it gets organized. I was already in there planning things while I made my coffee. As we're on the other side of town, I'm going to check out the Mexican meat market. I'm thinking of making besteak con arroz y frejoles negro soon.
Yesterday I slept a solid eleven hours. It had cooled off and allowed me to sleep comfortably. I had quite a few interesting dreams, but JR showed up only an hour after I got up and that swept them all away. Oh well.
This park is quieter and more laid back than Desert Rose. Older and larger, too. It's only half occupied, but that means a bit over two hundred units. It is funky and a little run down. But not a shithole. The owner is a German and he stays on top of things as best he can. We got along straight away. I suspect I'm the only person he's met who can click his heels wearing flip-flops. lol
Gonna wake Le-Le up in a hour or so 'cause I am jonesing for some Intratubes. I'll post this then.
...finished @ 6:59am...
EDIT: JR and I have pushed shit around in the living room. Now we're gonna take a few more things to storage and get rid of some boxes. Then over to Karl's Hardware to get a coupling for the drier. Once the laundry room is done, so are we.
BTW it is now 88° and 23% humidity. Still better than 101° eh?
