~Today I shall express Gratitude for both the positive amelioration of my dental circumstance – paid for in toto by the State of California, which it seems has pissed off some people – and for the arrival of Autumn weather.
Together they have improved my mental state. Of course such merely means that now when I look out upon The Human Condition, I get Angry instead of Depressed, but that does feel much better, once again proving T-800's statement, “Anger is a more useful emotion than despair.”
I actually got things done today without crapping out. Cleaned all the litter boxes. Threw extraneous boxes out. Cleared more things out of the kitchen and put them away. The former were really bad. And the latter made me feel like we can actually get this joint into good shape by the end of the year.
I also went back over my work on The Explanation over the past couple of years and, once again, realized that I'm doing okay. Writing a Holy Book is no fucking joke and some of the damned things take several authors and two or three centuries to finish, so chill the fuck out, dude!
Yeah, I still have a fair amount of work to do on the thing, but I have put over seventy seven thousand words on The Page in roughly four years – all, I might add, while getting my ass kicked on a regular basis – and that is nothing to sneeze at.
And so it goes...
